Artist Statement

I am a multilingual Jewish Cantonese American artist, activist, and educator. With such a multi-faceted identity, I hold a dialogue through my work with the only factor that remains consistent: my body.

My paintings are studies on the human body, often my own, informed by sociopolitical narratives.

I have lived and worked with youth in the US and Russia – and themes of childhood and the resilience of ethnic minorities can be seen in my work.
